Award Judges

General Information

  • Judges should be active in the HDI community and technical support and/or service management industry
  • Judges are not allowed to score nominees from their own organization
  • Vendors cannot score nominees that are also their customers
  • The list of judges will be published on our website and in the awards event program. It will include the judge’s name, title, company and headshot. No contact information will be included
  • Judges must keep their scores confidential and not share with other judges
  • Nominations are not to be discussed with anyone and shall remain confidential
  • Three officers will each tabulate the final judges’ scorecard to ensure all final results are the same
  • The Judging Packet, which includes Scorecards (Excel spreadsheet), grading rubric, nominee applications, and interview recordings will be emailed to each judge. Judges will score each nominee and return scorecards to the HDI Nebraska Chapter via email.

Judging Process

  • You will be responsible for judging either the Analyst of the Year (AOY) or Desktop Support Technician of the Year (DSTOY) nominations.
  • In the Judge's Scorecard that will be sent to you, you will score each criterion for the nominee with 0 being the lowest and 10 being the highest score. Use the nomination form and phone interview to score each nominee.
  • A grading rubric will also be provided to assist in your scoring.
  • Once you are finished scoring the nominees, email your completed scorecard to us.

  • Nominations are due October 31.
  • Nominations and recorded interviews will be sent to you early November.
  • Completed scorecards will be due two weeks after you receive them. This is to ensure that we have time to tabulate the scores and order awards for the winners. The earlier the scores are returned, the better!

We would also like to invite you, as our honored guest, to the awards event to recognize you and the other judges on December 13, 2018 at 5:30 PM at the Tiburon Golf Course in Omaha, NE.

If you are interested in being a judge, please contact Adam Hohbein.
